Mrs. Ellis, who is also B-L High School’s current Teacher of the Year, has worked in Lexington School District Three for the past five years. Along with teaching AP Human Geography and AVID classes at B-L High School, she also coaches the Girls Varsity Soccer team. Mrs. Ellis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. She is currently working on an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision through Clemson University.
The Palmetto State Teachers Association was organized in 1976 and is the largest association for educators in the state of South Carolina. PSTA’s membership is comprised of classroom teachers, administrators, pre-service teachers and retired educators. The majority of PSTA’s staff members have also been classroom teachers at some point during their careers.
