The Nathan M. Wolfe Law Cadet Academy, which was started in 1973, consists of a week of instructions, lectures and hands-on training to give students a better understanding of the law enforcement field. The cadets are exposed to a wide range of subjects such as building search, active shooter, high risk stops, nutrition, Americanism, citizenship, marksmanship, pursuit driving, and more.
Congratulations to Ashanti Gilliam (a current 11th grader), Traci Hall (a 2018 graduate), F.H. Hunter (a current 12th grader) and Mike Sulton (a current 12th grader) on receiving their diplomas. Mike Sulton was also chosen as the top male cadet in this year’s academy and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Ashanti Gilliam sang the national anthem at the graduation ceremony.
