Lexington Three is always striving to make our processes and procedures as simple and easy as possible, especially in the midst of COVID-19. As a result, we will be conducting our online student registration a little differently for the 2021-2022 school year, a change that we hope will simplify the task for our Panthers.
In year’s past, Lexington Three has issued a snapcode for each of our returning students. That snapcode was used to login to a portal where parents had to verify their child’s registration information. The snapcodes were complex, they changed from year to year, and we understand that for families with multiple children in our district, this process could prove to be challenging.
Therefore, Lexington Three has decided to streamline the registration process by moving all of our registration documents into the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Some of our parents and guardians are already utilizing this tool, especially at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Unlike the old registration portal that was only used for registration purposes, the PowerSchool Parent Portal can be used year-round and will allow you to see your child’s attendance record, check for tardies, and even view grades (for older students). When it’s time to register your child for school, this is the portal you will use.
Sometime in the next few days, you should be receiving a letter in the mail from your child's school with instructions on how to go ahead and create an account in the PowerSchool Parent Portal (if you don't already have one). You can create one account and link each of your students, if you have multiple in our district, using their unique Access IDs and Access Passwords, which will be included in the letters that are being mailed to you.
Should you not receive a letter for your student(s) by the end of next week (Friday, April 23rd), please contact your child's school.
***Please note that all brand new 4K and 5K students (those who have never been enrolled in Lexington Three) still need to be registered using the paper packets that can be downloaded from the Lexington Three website (www.lex3.org). The above-listed details are only for parents of students who are currently enrolled with us and will be returning for the new school year.
