Deidre Yonce, Lexington County School District Three’s Director of Child Nutrition, is pleased to announce that B-L Primary, B-L Elementary, B-L Middle and B-L High Schools’ cafeterias had a surprise inspection this month from the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and all four schools received an overall score of 100% (a perfect score).
Lexington School District Three celebrated Veterans Day 2018 with several special programs and activities across town.
Congratulations to B-L High School JROTC teacher 1SG Tim Covington on being nominated for the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award.
Four students from B-L High School were honored at the September 19th Lexington County School District Three Board of Trustees meeting for receiving a diploma from the American Legion Nathan M. Wolfe Law Cadet Academy. The students participated in the program June 16th through 22nd at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia.
On September 24th, twenty-three new members were inducted into the Batesburg-Leesville High School Chapter of the National Beta Club.
Congratulations to members of the B-L High School Panther Band on their second place finish in the 1A State Finals on Saturday, October 27th.
Congratulations to B-L High School teacher Maggee Ellis on winning a statewide contest that was sponsored by the Palmetto State Teachers Association. Mrs. Ellis was randomly selected out of a pool of around 1,000 people to have her student loans paid for by the Palmetto State Teachers Association for a whole year. The contest was open to new members who joined the PSTA between May 1st and August 31st of this year.
