Lexington County School District Three is pleased to announce the hiring of Mrs. Randi Curry as the new Assistant Principal for Instruction at Batesburg-Leesville High School. A passionate educator with a strong background in early childhood education and instructional leadership, Mrs. Curry brings more than a decade of experience and a deep commitment to student and teacher growth.
Mrs. Curry most recently served as an early childhood teacher at Midway Elementary School in Lexington School District One, where she led literacy and math instruction for young learners while also supporting the school’s immersion program. Prior to that, she taught at Batesburg-Leesville Primary School and began her career in education as a STEM and computer lab teacher assistant.
With her collaborative spirit and skill in using data-driven instruction, Mrs. Curry is dedicated to cultivating a positive educational environment that supports both academic achievement and professional growth. She holds certifications in Early Childhood Education and Tier 1 Leadership for Elementary/Secondary Principals, as well as a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Curry has served in numerous leadership capacities including as a member of the B-L Primary School Leadership Team, Personalized Learning Team, and as the First Grade Chair. She was named Teacher of the Year at B-L Primary School for the 2017–2018 school year and has remained an active advocate for excellence in education through her involvement with the ADK Teacher Sorority and the Midway Elementary PTO Board.
Mrs. Curry and her husband, CJ, are both originally from Lexington, where they currently reside. They have two daughters—Falyn (9) and Blakely (9 months). In their free time, the Curry family enjoys spending time with loved ones and cheering on their favorite team, the South Carolina Gamecocks.
