JROTC cadets at Batesburg-Leesville High School set up a touching memorial on Monday, August 30th in front of their school in honor of the service men and women killed last week in Afghanistan.
13 pairs of boots, along with 13 American flags flank the sidewalk around the flagpole, which also displays Old Glory at half staff. Two patriotic wreaths overlook the scene.
The Batesburg-Leesville High School JROTC is overseen by Sgt. Tim Covington and Col. Jonathan Robinson. The memorial will be on display through next week.
