Congratulations to eleventh grade students Cameron Price and Ella Sawyer on being selected as the 2022 Batesburg-Leesville High School delegates for Palmetto Girls State. This year's Palmetto Girls State event is slated to be held June 12th through 18th at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.
Palmetto Girls State is a program developed and sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Department of South Carolina. While at the weeklong event, students have the opportunity to learn more about government, Americanism, and citizenship while participating in mock political activities on the city, county and state levels of government.
The Batesburg-Leesville High School students chosen for Palmetto Girls State are sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Post 61.
